Senior Software Engineer, Capacity & Efficiency Engineering

What you'll do

• Model and translate application workload signals into measurable compute, storage, network, and platform resource requirements.
• Develop scalable engineering solutions, tooling, and automation to provide visibility into resource consumption and identify capacity risks.
• Identify and drive architectural, configuration, and operational improvements to increase system efficiency while maintaining reliability.
• Establish repeatable methodologies and standards for demand modeling and capacity management across diverse workloads.
• Analyze complex application architectures to understand how services consume infrastructure resources.
• Forecast future infrastructure requirements based on business needs and growth patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align resource requirements with technical solutions and financial goals.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience developing, operating, or architecting large-scale distributed services and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go for production-quality systems and automation.
• Ability to understand and reason about complex application architectures across multiple technologies, services, and infrastructure layers.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and containerized environments.
• Experience using observability and telemetry data to analyze system behavior and resource utilization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with capacity planning, demand forecasting, and resource management (preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, FinOps, or GenAI technologies (preferred).
