What you'll do

Define and enforce feature-level SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for APIs, RAG systems, and AI agents.
Build and maintain application observability systems using Looker dashboards on BigQuery and BigTable.
Develop LangGraph-based agents for automated issue identification, root cause diagnosis, and self-healing workflows.
Create evaluation harnesses to benchmark agent performance and conduct regression testing for multi-step workflows.
Write complex SQL queries for usage trend analysis, anomaly detection, and operational reporting.
Implement deployment safety practices including canary rollouts, feature flags, and automated rollback mechanisms.
Lead application-level incident response, root cause analysis, and blameless postmortems.
Build Python-based tooling to reduce mean time to detect and resolve application-layer issues.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on reliability, observability, or production operations.
Strong Python development skills for building production tooling, automation, and agent-based systems.
Production GCP experience including managing applications on GKE (Kubernetes).
Deep SQL expertise with BigQuery for complex queries, schema design, and cost optimization.
Hands-on experience with BigTable or equivalent for high-throughput operational data.
Proven experience designing and operating application-level SLI/SLO frameworks and error budget policies.
Experience building agent evaluation harnesses, using LangGraph, or developing GenAI applications (preferred).
