What you'll do

Write production-quality C++ and Python code for mission-critical systems and web applications.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and technical guidance.
Shape the technical direction of a small team while remaining hands-on in design and implementation.
Prototype state-of-the-art software solutions and guide them from initial prototype to tactical deployment.
Use modeling and simulation environments to quantify the benefits of new technologies.
Lead technical interchange meetings, sprint planning, and customer engagements for mission-critical needs.
Manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle while navigating complex technical trade-offs.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to colleagues, customers, and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience.
8+ years of software engineering experience.
Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership as a hands-on individual contributor.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for mission-critical systems.
Experience with big data, NoSQL, and database technologies.
Expertise in applied mathematics including differential equations, linear algebra, optimization, statistics, and random processes.
Knowledge of engineering principles such as controls, estimation theory, and digital signal processing.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
