Senior (SMTS) Endpoint Security Software Engineer joins the Enterprise Security Technology team to build and operate scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems providing cloud-scale security infrastructure. This role focuses on developing a first-class defense system for enterprise workloads by creating automation, tools, and internal solutions to address evolving threats. The engineer will design and implement robust automation pipelines using Python scripting, contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code efforts, and perform threat modeling and vendor evaluations. Key responsibilities include managing endpoint hygiene, developing detection logic, and integrating event ingestion with SIEM and SOAR platforms. The role requires expertise in Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Vulnerability Management, Network Security, and Application Control. Candidates must possess experience in large-scale production environments, secure software development lifecycles, and the creation of automated response playbooks to ensure consistent security across multiple systems.
Develop and operate scalable security solutions using modern tools and best development practices.
Build automation scripts and utilities in Python to reduce manual effort and improve incident response.
Design and implement robust automation pipelines for endpoint security across large enterprise environments.
Participate in threat modeling, vendor evaluations, and proof-of-concepts for new security technologies.
Integrate and tune event ingestion, alerting, and remediation workflows with SIEM and SOAR platforms.
Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-as-code efforts for endpoint security services.
Develop comprehensive documentation for security services, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure endpoint hygiene meets regulatory requirements while maintaining consistent configurations across thousands of systems.
What we're looking for
You must have 5+ years of hands-on security software development experience.
You must have experience developing automation used in a production environment at a scale of more than ten thousand endpoint systems.
You must have continuous hands-on experience with scripting or programming, such as Python or Go.
You must be familiar with Agile development practices and the secure software development lifecycle.
You must be able to perform proof-of-concepts for new technologies that align with security and business needs.
You must have experience with formal change management processes in an enterprise environment.
You should have experience integrating or operating endpoint protection, firewall, email security, or exposure management platforms at enterprise scale (preferred).
You should have hands-on experience building detection content or automated response playbooks within a SIEM or SOAR platform (preferred).
