What you'll do

Deploy, support, and monitor new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks.
Use scale testing to measure, tune, and optimize system performance.
Architect and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, and security of internet services.
Build and manage systems, infrastructure, and applications through automation.
Participate in periodic on-call duties to ensure service reliability.
Eliminate repetitive manual processes by developing and iterating on automation tools.
Manage large numbers of diverse systems using configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.

What we're looking for

BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent employment.
Experience building and scaling distributed systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
Experience deploying, supporting, and monitoring new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks.
Proven track record of writing programs using high-level languages such as Java, Go, Python, or Perl.
Experience managing large numbers of diverse systems using configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
Deep understanding of the Linux Operating System, including Kernel, Memory, Processes, Threads, and IPC.
Experience with scale testing, disaster recovery, and capacity planning (preferred).
Understanding of standard networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and Load Balancing strategies (preferred).
