Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Apple Data Platform SRE / Apple Services Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage Apple’s largest ML compute platform and multi-cloud storage abstraction.
• Oversee the full infrastructure stack from low-level nodes to complete network architecture.
• Design, develop, and release production code using Python, Go, or Rust.
• Deploy, support, and monitor large-scale distributed applications and containerized services.
• Automate manual operations and enhance processes through continuous iteration.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues in both public and private cloud infrastructures.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure platform high availability.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years experience building, operating, and scaling large applications in private, public, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes with hands-on experience using platforms like GKE or EKS.
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and releasing code in Python, Go, or Rust.
• Practical experience with object storage technologies such as Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage.
• Strong background in designing and troubleshooting complex networking issues in public and private cloud infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of Linux internals, standard networking protocols, and distributed systems architecture.
• Proven drive to automate manual operations and enhance processes through continuous iteration (preferred).
• Hands-on experience managing diverse system environments using tools such as Spinnaker, Helm, or Flux (preferred).
