Senior SCADA Engineer, Solar/Storage (BESS) Operations Engineering

What you'll do

• Maintain and integrate SCADA infrastructure for renewable energy projects across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for OEM hardware and software capabilities.
• Validate system modifications and upgrades to ensure proper operation of wind turbines, inverters, and trackers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain field equipment for operating facilities and the Invenergy Control Center.
• Lead technical resolutions by coordinating with OEM integrators and internal engineering functions.
• Integrate systems to provide telemetry to external entities while ensuring architecture scalability.
• Provide training and mentorship to engineers and site personnel on new SCADA technologies and standards.
• Identify the impact of regulatory requirements on operating field devices and systems.

What we're looking for

• 5-8 years of industry experience supporting renewable energy generation equipment.
• Experience with industrial protocols including DNP3, Modbus, OPC, and SEL FM.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting device communication issues within a SCADA network using tools like Wireshark.
• Experience with MS SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Power Plant Controller (PPC) experience including design, support, testing, and troubleshooting on SEL RTAC, GE RX3i, GPM, or Allen-Bradley (preferred).
• Solar, energy storage, or wind specific experience supporting inverters, trackers, and control systems (preferred).
• Professional project management, team management, or leadership experience (preferred).
