Senior Energy Systems Integration Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and engineer SCADA and communications systems to interface with Tangent AMP software and distributed energy resources.
• Maintain fleet-level SCADA systems to ensure integration with various ISOs and utilities for market participation.
• Design and implement custom microgrid control sequencing for both grid-tied and islanded applications.
• Develop technical drawings including communication block diagrams, panel layouts, and AC/DC schematics.
• Configure Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Execute commissioning and testing plans to validate data and implement end-to-end control architecture.
• Provide technical support to customers and the operations center while developing user manuals and operational procedures.
• Manage third-party engineering firms to ensure all technical designs meet project specifications and requirements.

What we're looking for

• Design and implement custom microgrid control sequencing for grid-tied and islanded applications.
• Develop communication block diagrams, panel layouts, and AC/DC schematics for SCADA and network systems.
• Configure Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Integrate SCADA network systems using protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, SEL Protocol, IEC 61850, TCP/IP, and UDP.
• Develop and execute commissioning and testing plans for data validation and end-to-end control architecture.
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in a relevant field of study (preferred); strong background in DER and microgrids (preferred).
