As a Senior Reliability Engineer - Electrical, you will join the team as an individual contributor to lead reliability initiatives for critical electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS, batteries, generators, and distribution equipment. You will be responsible for reviewing commissioning quality, designing maintenance strategies to reduce downtime, and leading root cause analysis for major failures. The role involves analyzing operational trends, developing risk mitigation plans for power-system vulnerabilities, and providing technical support during critical events. You will utilize skills in systems thinking, analytical evaluation of testing data, and mentoring junior engineers. Key tools and domains include mission-critical electrical arrangements, EPMS analytics, and lifecycle planning. Preferred expertise includes SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, PE-track, NETA/NICET, or OEM training, alongside certifications like CMRP or CRE to ensure the reliability of high-availability power systems in industrial environments.
Lead reliability initiatives for critical electrical infrastructure including switchgear, UPS, batteries, generators, and distribution equipment.
Review commissioning and startup quality to ensure systems are delivered in a reliable and supportable condition.
Design and improve maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and optimize lifecycle costs.
Lead root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for major or recurring electrical failures.
Analyze maintenance data and failure patterns to identify systemic issues and prioritize corrective actions.
Develop risk mitigation plans for power-system vulnerabilities, latent failure modes, and obsolescence concerns.
Provide senior technical support to Site Operations during critical events and abnormal operating conditions.
Evaluate construction submittals and design changes from a reliability and maintainability perspective.
What we're looking for
6 to 10 years of experience in critical power systems, electrical reliability, commissioning, maintenance engineering, or uptime-critical infrastructure environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
Experience leading root cause analysis, maintenance optimization, and technical support in live electrical environments.
Deep familiarity with mission-critical electrical arrangements, protection components, switchgear automation/control interfaces, and onsite generation.
Experience with mission-critical power infrastructure in data centers, utilities, or similar high-availability environments (preferred).
Familiarity with EPMS analytics, testing programs, asset health analysis, and lifecycle planning (preferred).
SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, PE-track, NETA/NICET, or OEM electrical equipment training (preferred).
CMRP, CRE, or other reliability certification (preferred).
