Senior Proto Engineer

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain D&E test rigs for new product qualification, integration, and issue resolution.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in module designs to improve overall system performance.
• Execute integration, build-in/build-out, and troubleshooting activities on test rigs.
• Review and contribute to test plans to ensure efficient use of test rigs and equipment.
• Monitor test rig performance within set parameters and maintain hardware and software configurations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other D&E engineers and mentor new team members.
• Create product documentation necessary for pilot production and contribute to optimal product designs.
• Transfer machine status and issue lists to the next shift to ensure continuous operation.

What we're looking for

• BS degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Software, Electrical, or Mechatronics) and 5+ years of experience.
• MS degree in a relevant technical field and 3+ years of experience (preferred).
• 9+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised with a high sense of ownership.
• Troubleshooting experience with complex systems and knowledge of subsystem interactions.
• Ability to identify, analyze, document, and manage requirements with traceability.
• Ability to develop engineering concepts, make technical tradeoffs, and realize designs meeting performance and cost constraints.
• Ability to plan and execute verification and validation to ensure qualification evidence supports release readiness.
