The Test & Measurement Lead Engineer joins the Test and Measurement Facilities group to manage hardware risk quantification at the part level regarding feasibility, functionality, robustness, and reliability. This role involves translating complex hardware risks and failure modes into specific test methods and measurement results while driving the overall test strategy, principles, and requirements for various disciplines. The engineer will oversee test design, execution, and data quality, while mentoring junior engineers and improving internal processes to prevent recurring failures. Key technical competencies include mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied physics, and material science. Preferred skills include Physics of Failure, DfSS methods, Measurement System Analysis, and LabVIEW. The role focuses on the development and qualification of mechanical subsystems and components for lithography machines used in high-tech manufacturing environments to ensure high levels of quality and reliability.
Translate complex test requirements into actionable designs for various technical disciplines within the Test & Measurement Facilities.
Drive the overall test strategy, principles, and methods to represent both operational conditions and extreme cases.
Lead the alignment and realization of specific work packages and physical test setups.
Deliver and improve reliable measurement data through advanced analysis to draw accurate conclusions.
Identify missing processes or procedures and develop new documentation to improve testing workflows.
Mentor junior engineers to develop their technical skills in the development of test equipment.
Act as a technical ambassador by maintaining a network of stakeholders across various internal projects.
Translate complex hardware risks and failure modes into specific test methods and measurement results.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or more advanced degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Material Science, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of experience in hands-on engineering development for high-tech products and complex processes.
Strong background in test design, execution, data quality, and translating failure risks into test capabilities.
Demonstrated experience in part-level testing environments and problem-solving within complex systems.
Proficiency in multidisciplinary areas including mechanical, electronics, test software, integration, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to engineers and manage internal customers in tense situations.
Preferred knowledge of Physics of Failure, DfSS methods, Measurement System Analysis, and LabVIEW.
Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined by U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
