Prototype Engineer

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain D&E test rigs for new product qualification, integration, and issue resolution.
• Execute test plans and operational procedures to ensure efficient use of test rigs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report issues in module designs to improve system performance.
• Perform integration, build-in, and build-out activities on test rigs.
• Monitor test rig performance within set parameters and maintain hardware, software, and configurations.
• Provide technical support to other D&E engineers and mentor peers on test rig progress.
• Create product documentation necessary for pilot production and contribute to optimal product design.
• Transfer machine status and issue lists to the next shift to ensure continuous operation.

What we're looking for

• Must have a BS in a technical field and 2+ years of experience.
• Must have an MS in a technical field and 1+ years of experience.
• Must have 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined by U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
• Must have troubleshooting experience with complex systems.
• Must have basic knowledge of how different sub-systems interact with other sub-systems.
• Must be able to identify, analyze, document, and manage requirements with traceability.
• Must be able to develop engineering concepts, make technical tradeoffs, and realize designs meeting functionality and cost constraints.
