Professional Services Engineer The Professional Services Engineer joins the Forward Deployed Engineer program to serve as a dedicated technical expert embedded directly within customer environments. Acting as an extension of the client's team, this individual manages, optimizes, and evolves Cloudflare solutions while making critical architectural decisions for mission-critical infrastructure. What you'll do

Embed within customer technical teams to manage and optimize Cloudflare solutions as an extension of their staff.
Design, configure, and optimize Cloudflare products directly within the customer's infrastructure and environment.
Develop automation scripts, build prototypes, and perform real-time troubleshooting for complex technical issues.
Create technical documentation including solution designs, high-level/low-level designs, migration plans, and runbooks.
Provide proactive architectural guidance and roadmap alignment to ensure technical outcomes meet business objectives.
Lead technical workshops and knowledge-transfer sessions for customers during product launches or security drills.
Act as a customer advocate by reporting product gaps and feature requests to internal engineering teams.
Collaborate with account executives and success managers to align on strategy and expansion opportunities.

What we're looking for

Must have over 15 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
Must possess expert-level knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and HTTP.
Must demonstrate expertise in Applications (WAF, Bot Management, API Gateway) or Networking (Magic Transit, BGP, L3/L4 routing).
Must have experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage both technical and executive audiences.
Experience working with enterprise customers in the APJC region, specifically within Korea, is required.
Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCIE, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Must be authorized to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.
