Senior Product Quality Engineer, Anduril Expeditionary Systems joins the team to define, develop, and execute processes ensuring high quality and reliability for the Anduril Expeditionary Systems product portfolio. This role involves driving product improvement through data collection, incident reporting, and root cause corrective action activities like 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC methodologies. The engineer will manage the transition from new product introduction to sustainable production while overseeing quality management systems and manufacturing requirements for components such as castings, forgings, and electromechanical systems. Key technical competencies include FMEA, V&V testing, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and GD&T. Candidates must possess experience with PCBA, harnessing, and machined parts in complex hardware environments. Required tools and skills include statistical analysis using MATLAB, JMP, or Minitab, alongside knowledge of configuration management and document control.
Implement data collection and incident reporting processes to inform design reviews, verification, and validation.
Resolve development ambiguities regarding product maturity, process stability, and field performance for volume production.
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities for field issues and share lessons learned across teams.
Manage the transition from new product introduction to sustainable, predictable experiences for customers.
Eliminate product risks throughout the lifecycle to improve reliability from concept through manufacturing and field use.
Develop and implement manufacturing requirements, quality standards, and plans for various component types.
Analyze process capability data during early design phases to drive engineering decisions.
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and related activities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field.
7+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aerospace/defense or complex hardware environments.
Proven experience leading root cause corrective action (RCCA) using tools like 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC.
Working knowledge of design review and quality management for PCBA, harnessing, machined parts, and weldment structures.
Knowledge of product development methodologies including FMEA, V&V testing, APQP, MSA, and GD&T.
Experience creating and managing a Program Quality Management Plan (QMP).
Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
Master's degree in a technical field (preferred); 10+ years of experience with complex manufacturing environments (preferred); Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
