Senior Product Quality Engineer - Fury
The Senior Product Quality Engineer joins the Quality Engineering Team to support the Fury autonomous aircraft program. This role involves partnering with the Air Dominance and Strike Team to develop and execute processes that ensure product quality and reliability for volume production. Key responsibilities include leading Root Cause and Corrective Action activities, managing data collection for design reviews, and overseeing the transition from new product introduction to sustainable customer experiences. The candidate will utilize tools such as 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC methodologies while performing statistical analysis using MatLab, JMP, or MiniTab. Required expertise includes PCBA, avionics, propulsion systems, and manufacturing processes like FMEA, APQP, and PPAP. This role addresses the critical challenge of ensuring high-reliability aerospace systems meet AS6500 requirements within a complex hardware manufacturing environment.
Implement processes for data collection and incident reporting to inform design reviews and product validation.
Resolve development ambiguities regarding product maturity, process stability, and field performance for volume production.
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities for field issues and share lessons learned across teams.
Manage the transition from new product introduction to a sustainable and predictable experience for customers.
Eliminate product risks throughout the lifecycle to improve reliability from concept through manufacturing and field use.
Define, execute, and improve product and process requirements to meet quality goals.
Analyze product health data and establish metrics to measure and predict quality performance.
Support the continuous improvement of the internal Quality Management System and required documentation.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality within the aerospace, defense, or similar hardware industries.
Experience leading root cause corrective action (RCCA) using tools like 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC.
Working knowledge of design review and quality management for PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion, and lethality systems.
Working knowledge of product development methodologies including FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements (such as MSA), and GD&T.
Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
Analytical skills for data mining, metrics generation, and statistical analysis using tools like MatLab, JMP, or MiniTab.
Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
