TL;DR · Senior Principal Integration and Test Engineer

The Senior Principal Integration and Test Engineer joins the engineering team to lead the full integration and test lifecycle for complex hardware and software systems. This role involves owning test plan authorship, execution, anomaly resolution, and formal reporting for multi-subsystem System-of-Systems capabilities. The engineer will resolve interface, timing, and interoperability issues across diverse subsystems including autonomy, RF communications, UGVs, small UAS, electronic warfare, munitions, and fuzes. Key responsibilities include developing verification scenarios with formal requirements traceability and authoring audit-ready technical documentation for government customers. Required skills include proficiency in Python for test automation, experience with Jira and Confluence, and the use of tools like LabVIEW, TestStand, MATLAB/Simulink, and CAMEO. The role addresses critical national security challenges by ensuring seamless integration of advanced defense technologies within a high-stakes mission environment.

What you'll do

  • Own the full integration and test lifecycle including planning, execution, anomaly resolution, and formal reporting for multi-subsystem capabilities.
  • Lead the integration of dissimilar subsystems such as autonomy, RF communications, UGV, sUAS, electronic warfare, munitions, and fuzing.
  • Resolve complex interface, timing, and interoperability issues across various hardware and software components.
  • Develop verification scenarios based on operational use cases with formal requirements traceability from requirements to test evidence.
  • Author comprehensive test plans, procedures, and audit-ready technical documentation for government customers.
  • Execute bench and field tests using instrumentation like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers while resolving anomalies at the component level.
  • Develop test automation scripts and data reduction tools using Python to streamline post-test analysis.
  • Coordinate test activities across cross-functional teams in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field plus 8 years of experience or a Master's degree plus 6 years of integration and test experience.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
  • Experience leading I&T for complex hardware/software systems, including plan authorship, execution, anomaly resolution, and reporting.
  • Hands-on System-of-Systems integration experience resolving interface, timing, and interoperability issues across dissimilar subsystems.
  • Proficiency with bench and field instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Python scripting skills for test automation and data reduction.
  • Experience in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence to manage requirements traceability.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer and contractor test ranges.
