Senior Presales Engineer

What you'll do

• Own the technical solution for budgetary, competitive, and sole source proposal responses.
• Provide point-by-point technical responses to Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) documents.
• Recommend specific hardware and software based on unique customer requirements.
• Create solution descriptions, system configuration diagrams, and bills of material for software and hardware.
• Conduct customer-facing technical requirements discovery sessions to determine estimations and configurations.
• Deploy product evaluations in coordination with customers and the sales team.
• Deliver technical product training to customers through in-person and virtual platforms.
• Translate complex technical information into clear content for non-technical audiences.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of Engineering, Sales, Public Safety, and/or Military experience.
• 8+ years of Engineering, Sales, Public Safety, and/or Military experience (if no degree).
• Experience in computer hardware sizing, configuration, and implementation.
• Technical writing experience with the ability to deliver technical information to a nontechnical audience.
• Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures (preferred).
• Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols, and security (preferred).
• Knowledge of RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets (preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
