As a Senior Platform Systems Engineer within the Cloud Hardware Systems Engineering team, you will help manage and optimize cloud infrastructure by developing state-of-the-art AI, compute, storage, networking, and accelerator hardware solutions. You will collaborate with architecture, silicon engineering, firmware, and manufacturing teams to lead platform bring up, define test and validation plans, and perform hands-on debugging of critical platform-level issues. Your role involves performing NUDD technology analysis, providing risk assessments, and developing innovative debugging methodologies for remote data centers. To succeed, you must possess expertise in hardware, firmware, and software interfaces across the system stack. You will drive technical requirements to ensure solutions are scalable across the full hardware, firmware, and software stack while ensuring high quality, reliability, and performance for large-scale datacenter operations and infrastructure components.
Lead system debug activities and manage pre-silicon platform bring up, testing, and validation execution.
Perform hands-on debugging of critical platform-level issues across hardware, firmware, and software stacks.
Develop innovative debugging methodologies to triage and resolve issues in remote data centers.
Analyze new or complex technologies to provide risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Drive technical requirements to ensure solutions are flexible and scalable across the full technology stack.
Influence product architecture to meet specific goals for quality, reliability, and performance.
Manage the integration of innovative technologies from internal, external, and open-source partners.
What we're looking for
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
Equivalent experience to the specified degrees and years of experience is acceptable.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and other government security screening requirements.
7+ years of technical engineering experience (preferred).
7+ years of relevant experience in system level design and implementation across the hardware development lifecycle (preferred).
Experience with hardware, firmware, management firmware, and software interfaces across all modules in a system (preferred).
Experience leading validation strategies, debugging complex technologies, and managing platforms debug forums (preferred).
