What you'll do

Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK.
Operate core AWS services including ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and EKS/Kubernetes.
Manage ingress and edge architectures including AWS WAF, CloudFront, load balancers, and DNS.
Implement security best practices for IAM, network security, and encryption to support SOC2 and PCI compliance.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools like GitLab CI and Argo CD.
Monitor and optimize cloud costs to identify reduction opportunities while maintaining performance.
Lead incident response efforts for production infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
Conduct proof-of-concepts to validate new AWS services and architectural patterns before adoption.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of experience or a combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in at least one major programming language.
Experience designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK.
Experience operating core AWS services including ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and EKS/Kubernetes.
Experience with ingress and edge architectures including AWS WAF, CloudFront, load balancers, DNS, and TLS certificates.
Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or a comparable stack (preferred).
Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, including building controllers and operators (preferred).
