The Senior Platform Engineer – Azure Data Platforms & DevOps joins the Enterprise Data Platform organization to design, implement, and support foundational platform services. The position requires expertise in automated deployment patterns, security controls, and observability platforms to support complex data workloads. By providing reusable modules and self-service delivery models, you will solve technical challenges related to data integration, event streaming, and cloud-native architectures within a regulated financial services environment.

What you'll do

Design, implement, and support enterprise Azure Databricks, Confluent Kafka, and Azure Data Factory services.
Develop enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to manage environment provisioning and configuration.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation frameworks using GitLab and Azure DevOps.
Administer Azure Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog structures, and cluster policies to ensure platform governance.
Engineer and support Confluent Kafka streaming platforms, including cluster administration and schema governance.
Implement enterprise security controls such as RBAC, secrets management, and network security.
Troubleshoot complex platform issues involving networking, authentication, infrastructure automation, and performance optimization.
Create technical documentation, architecture standards, operational runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree with ~5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with ~3 years of experience.
Strong hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
Deep experience with GitLab and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline development and DevSecOps best practices.
Strong experience administering and supporting Microsoft Azure services and enterprise cloud platforms.
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks administration, Unity Catalog, and workspace governance.
Experience supporting Confluent Kafka or Apache Kafka platforms, including cluster administration and schema governance.
Experience implementing monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident management across distributed enterprise environments.
Relevant Azure, Databricks, Confluent Kafka, Terraform, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, or cloud certifications (preferred).
