Senior Network Engineer, Optical

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable optical transport solutions to support cloud and AI infrastructure.
• Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining technical milestones and delivery procedures.
• Translate high-level network architectures into detailed, scalable solution designs and documentation.
• Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex network incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Develop scripts and automation to streamline non-traditional operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to junior and senior engineering staff.
• Evaluate new vendor hardware and technologies through participation in RFQs and RFPs.

What we're looking for

• 3 to 5 years of experience in network infrastructure engineering specifically in optics and optical networks.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Ten to fifteen years of industry experience, including at least five years of relevant cloud experience.
• Experience with data center engineering cabling is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python coding and scripting is highly preferred.
• Background in product lifecycle management and testing/qualification is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
