As a Senior Network Developer - Network Region Build (NRB), you will join the team to manage the complete network lifecycle, including design validation, deployment, expansion, and operational support for new OCI Regions and AI infrastructure. You will build and maintain large-scale spine-leaf data center fabrics, backbone networks, and metro connectivity while developing automation scripts using Python and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency. Your daily work involves executing complex network changes, creating runbooks, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with vendors to resolve software defects or validate hardware platforms. The role requires expertise in routing and switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS, alongside experience with Ethernet platforms, DWDM, and fiber troubleshooting. You will solve critical infrastructure challenges by ensuring high availability and performance for large-scale cloud and AI data center environments.
Lead network build and expansion projects for new OCI Regions and AI infrastructure.
Deploy, operate, and support large-scale spine-leaf data center fabrics and backbone networks.
Develop Python scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Perform root cause analysis and lead troubleshooting during high-priority network events.
Design and implement advanced network telemetry systems, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms.
Partner with vendors to resolve software defects and validate new hardware platforms.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across various infrastructure projects.
What we're looking for
Candidates must have 8 years of experience in network engineering, electrical engineering, cloud programming, or networking R&D (or a Bachelor's with 4 years, or a Master's with 2 years).
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Candidates must be proficient in Python or other programming languages for network automation and infrastructure pipelines.
Experience with routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP is required.
Proficiency with modern data center architectures, spine-leaf fabrics, and hardware platforms like Broadcom or NVIDIA/Mellanox is required.
Experience with network automation frameworks, APIs, and model-driven networking (YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, gNMI) is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in cloud architecture, network security, and vendor management is required.
Candidates must obtain an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification within 6 months of hire.
