As a Senior Network Developer, you will participate in the complete network lifecycle, from design validation through deployment, expansion, and operational support. You will lead build projects for new regions and AI infrastructure while managing large-scale spine-leaf data center fabrics, backbone networks, and metro connectivity. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing Methods of Procedure, performing root cause analysis, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with vendors to resolve software defects. The role requires proficiency in Python, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. You will also utilize advanced tools including YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, gNMI, and AI-assisted development platforms like GitHub Copilot to automate workflows. This role addresses critical infrastructure challenges in hyperscale cloud environments, specifically focusing on AI data center network deployments and high-availability architecture for large-scale enterprise systems.
Lead network build and expansion projects for new OCI Regions and AI infrastructure.
Deploy and support large-scale spine-leaf data center fabrics, backbone, edge, and metro networks.
Develop Python scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Perform root cause analysis and lead troubleshooting during high-priority network events.
Design and implement telemetry systems, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to monitor network health.
Partner with vendors to resolve software defects, qualify firmware, and validate hardware platforms.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex infrastructure projects.
What we're looking for
Must have 8 years of experience in network engineering, electrical engineering, cloud programming, or networking R&D, or a relevant degree with 2 to 4 years of experience.
Proficiency in Python or other programming languages for network automation and script development.
Experience with routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Demonstrated knowledge of cloud architecture to design scalable, reliable, and performant cloud services.
Experience securing enterprise networks using modern security controls and monitoring tools.
Ability to manage vendor relationships, including communication, service level monitoring, and issue resolution.
Familiarity with network automation frameworks, APIs, YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, gNMI, and model-driven networking.
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or related field.
