What you'll do

Deploy and manage greenfield infrastructure, data center fabrics, and backbone fiber networks.
Execute network changes using existing tools while developing new procedures and runbooks.
Lead technical projects including roadmap development and mentoring junior engineers.
Perform root cause analysis and provide escalation support for complex network events.
Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline routine networking tasks.
Troubleshoot physical infrastructure issues including cables, trunks, and optics.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve software bugs and qualify new firmware versions.

What we're looking for

Must have 3 to 5+ years of experience.
Experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments is required.
Must have hands-on exposure to commodity Ethernet hardware such as Broadcom and Mellanox.
Deep knowledge of routing and transport protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, and MPLS.
Experience with Internet peering, inter-domain networking, and VPN/SSL technologies is required.
Proficiency in scripting and automation, preferably using Python.
Familiarity with network modeling (YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF), telemetry systems, and datacenter design.
Strong understanding of network security design, system performance testing, and operational monitoring.
