As a Senior Network Developer 3 (IC3) within the Network Region Build team, you will manage the complete network lifecycle from design validation through deployment and operational support. You will lead build and expansion projects for new OCI Regions and AI infrastructure, specifically deploying large-scale spine-leaf data center fabrics, backbone, edge, and metro networks. Your daily work involves executing complex network changes, developing Methods of Procedure, and performing root cause analysis. You will utilize Python, AI-assisted development tools, and modern engineering practices to automate workflows. Technical requirements include proficiency with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, alongside experience with Broadcom and NVIDIA/Mellanox hardware, YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, and gNMI to solve hyperscale cloud and AI cluster networking problems.
Lead network build and expansion projects for new OCI Regions and AI infrastructure.
Deploy, operate, and support large-scale spine-leaf data center fabrics and backbone networks.
Develop automation scripts using Python and AI-assisted tools to improve operational efficiency.
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions for high-priority network events.
Design and develop advanced network fabric systems and scaling strategies for cloud environments.
Create and maintain Methods of Procedure (MOPs), runbooks, and operational best practices.
Partner with vendors to resolve software defects and qualify new hardware platforms.
Monitor network health by building dashboards, telemetry systems, and alerting mechanisms.
What we're looking for
Must have 8 years of experience in network engineering, electrical engineering, cloud programming, or networking R&D.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years of experience in network engineering, electrical engineering, cloud programming, or networking R&D.
Must have a Master's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience in network engineering, electrical engineering, cloud programming, or networking R&D.
Must demonstrate ability in cloud architecture, including designing scalable, reliable, and performant cloud services.
Must have experience securing enterprise networks with modern security controls and monitoring tools.
Must have knowledge of vendor management, including communicating with vendors and partnering to resolve issues.
Must be proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), IP Networking, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and network infrastructure.
Must be able to travel 50%+ of the time to OCI data centers.
