What you'll do

Decompose high-level network architectures into detailed designs and technical specifications.
Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining objectives and delivery procedures.
Develop scripts to automate complex, non-traditional tasks for the business unit.
Serve as a Tier 2 escalation point for complex network issues and root cause analysis.
Provide technical coaching and guidance to junior and senior technical staff members.
Coordinate with vendor engineering to address operational issues and participate in RFQ/RFP development.
Drive technology adoption to meet specific product and service requirements.
Manage network and server rack adds, decommissions, and capacity expansions.

What we're looking for

Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Experience in a large ISP or cloud provider environment is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Python for automation and datacenter design (preferred).
Experience with networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, VPN, and SSL.
Experience with scripting or automation, high-level software design, and automation framework deployment.
Experience with network modeling and programming using YANG, OpenConfig, and NETCONF.
Knowledge of network security design, system performance characterization, data flow, and telemetry design.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred) and at least 8 years of related experience (preferred).
