Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering, SLED

What you'll do

• Manage a team of Solutions Engineers supporting State, Local, and Higher Education accounts.
• Create and execute strategic plans with Sales leadership to achieve growth targets.
• Oversee technical activities including demonstrations, deep dives, trials, and proof-of-value evaluations.
• Provide on-site deal support and propose strategies to ensure the success of active opportunities.
• Develop professional growth plans and provide mentorship for team members.
• Recruit, ramp, and mentor a diverse team of Solutions Engineers.
• Influence technical decision-makers and executives within the US Public Sector.

What we're looking for

• You must have 12+ years of Pre Sales experience.
• You must have 4+ years of managerial or leadership experience.
• You must hold a Bachelor of Science in engineering, science, or mathematics or have equivalent experience.
• You must have demonstrated success selling to US Public Sector agencies (SLED preferred, or FED).
• You must be able to influence technical decision makers and executives as an executive sponsor.
• You must be proficient in MEDDPICC and Value/Outcome based selling methodologies.
• Expertise in security product market trends and knowledge of the Okta platform is preferred.
• Competency with security concepts and enterprise security software (firewalls, proxies, VPN, CASB, databases, and applications) is preferred.
