Senior Manager, Silicon Debug and Validation

What you'll do

• Manage a team responsible for the bringup and validation of debug features and tools.
• Triage complex failures requiring combined software, hardware, and silicon expertise.
• Perform silicon validation and characterization using workloads on internal software builds.
• Provide debug features and tools to a broad set of Apple R&D teams.
• Debug critical issues sourced from silicon validation, factory testing, and software screening.
• Build and maintain knowledge of the Apple software stack, build flows, and automation.
• Prioritize work across multiple concurrent projects through proactive planning and real-time assessments.
• Provide technical guidance and represent the team's progress to executive leadership.

What we're looking for

• BS degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience managing teams of 20+ engineers.
• Demonstrated proficiency in HW/SW interaction, Validation at scale, and characterization (preferred).
• Demonstrated proficiency in automation frameworks (preferred).
• Experience in FPGA- and Prototype HW-based Validation and Debug (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to grow and develop managers and senior technical contributors (preferred).
• Strong scripting and data analysis experience (preferred).
• Ability to work effectively across functions and organizations (preferred).
