Senior Manager, Platform Software Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers while fostering an inclusive and accountable culture.
• Own the delivery of application deployment capabilities from roadmap planning and technical design through implementation and operation.
• Translate customer and platform needs into clear execution plans by partnering with product managers, architects, and security engineers.
• Ensure all services are designed and operated with high standards for safety, reliability, isolation, and observability.
• Guide the team's technical direction for AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining strict governance and security controls.
• Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve developer experience, system performance, and deployment success rates.
• Build organizational capability through hiring, talent development, and providing technical mentorship to engineers.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.
• Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, Python, or similar.
• Experience leading teams to design, build, and operate scalable distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering.
• Demonstrated people leadership skills in hiring, developing talent, and managing execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to build alignment across engineering, product, and senior stakeholders.
