The Senior Manager of Infrastructure Efficiency & Capacity Management will build and lead an enterprise practice focused on compute, accelerated compute (GPU/TPU), storage, and Cloud/PaaS/Kubernetes platforms. You will lead a team of engineers and analysts to establish an operating model connecting workload demand, usable capacity, hardware lifecycles, and unit economics. Daily responsibilities include implementing evidence-based decision frameworks for multi-million dollar infrastructure planning, workload placement, and TCO modeling. You will use telemetry, utilization metrics, and demand signals to govern efficiency strategies like right-sizing and cloud financial commitments. Key technologies and tools include Kubernetes, virtualization platforms, cloud billing systems, Jira, and ServiceNow. This role solves the complex business problem of optimizing hyper-scale AI and enterprise infrastructure by bridging technical platform engineering with rigorous financial accountability and strategic investment decisions.
Build and lead a high-caliber team of engineers and analysts specializing in capacity economics and infrastructure data analytics.
Establish a repeatable operating model for demand forecasting, unit economics, supply allocation, and outcome verification.
Direct evidence-based evaluations of infrastructure purchases, cloud expansions, and hardware refreshes using TCO models.
Govern cross-domain efficiency strategies including workload placement, right-sizing, hardware reuse, and cloud financial commitments.
Partner with Corporate Finance to verify realized savings, cost avoidance, and capacity reclamation.
Communicate strategic recommendations, technical trade-offs, and investment risks to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
12+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud/platform systems, technical operations, or enterprise capacity planning.
5+ years of direct experience building, managing, and leading high-performing teams of senior technical specialists.
Demonstrated experience directing infrastructure capacity planning, hardware/cloud resource lifecycles, workload utilization modeling, and service continuity in large-scale environments.
Hands-on experience developing or implementing quantitative capacity models, demand forecasts, scenario analyses, unit economics, or multi-million dollar TCO/CapEx/OpEx business cases.
Proven experience evaluating technical system architectures and governing technical investment decisions with cross-functional leadership in engineering, finance, procurement, and operations.
Experience with infrastructure supply-and-demand planning, refresh justification, capacity forecasting, or FinOps (preferred).
Familiarity with compute virtualization, Kubernetes, accelerated compute (GPU/TPU), storage, databases, or platform services (preferred).
