What you'll do

  • Lead the asset quality and loan salability function for home equity and auto lending products.
  • Establish review methodologies, reporting standards, and escalation routines for a team of analysts.
  • Monitor portfolio-level salability risks including eligibility trends, defect patterns, and collateral documentation quality.
  • Track asset quality indicators such as early payment defaults, delinquency rates, and loss severity.
  • Oversee first-line model implementation, performance monitoring, and version control for secured lending models.
  • Evaluate origination channel quality regarding lien perfection, pricing consistency, and fair lending exposure.
  • Translate portfolio trends into actionable remediation plans to ensure regulatory readiness and partner commitment.

What we're looking for

  • Must have 8+ years of experience in business-line credit risk, loan quality, asset-backed or secured lending operations, or first-line model governance.
  • Experience with loan-level quality review, loan salability oversight, Capital Markets delivery, and repurchase or put-back risk is required.
  • Experience monitoring portfolio performance indicators such as early payment defaults, delinquency, loss severity, and non-performing loan trends is required.
  • Must have experience in first-line model oversight, including production monitoring, implementation governance, and inventory documentation.
  • Required experience partnering with Capital Markets, investors, or bank partners to resolve delivery exceptions and mitigate repurchase risk.
  • Experience leading analysts or managing a review function for asset quality or first-line model governance programs is required.
  • Preferred knowledge of auto indirect/dealer lending dynamics and fair lending requirements like ECOA, Regulation B, and TILA.
  • A risk or compliance certification, such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager or Financial Risk Manager, is preferred.
