What you'll do

Administer, configure, and troubleshoot RHEL/Linux systems across development, test, and production environments.
Perform root-cause analysis on operating systems, applications, storage, authentication, and network connectivity issues.
Manage system lifecycle activities including account administration, patching, package management, and service configuration.
Implement security controls, hardening standards, and vulnerability remediation to meet compliance requirements.
Develop automation and configuration-management solutions using Ansible, Bash, or Python to improve operational efficiency.
Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration records.
Provide rotational on-call support for mission-critical environments.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and ten years of related experience, or five additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Extensive hands-on Linux systems administration experience with RHEL or comparable enterprise distributions in production environments.
Experience managing Linux accounts, permissions, package management, patching, system services, storage, authentication, and performance monitoring.
Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible and Bash or Python scripting.
Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, IP addressing, ports, routing, and firewalls.
Experience with Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, configuration management, and formal change-control processes.
Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
Advanced experience with RHEL 9, AWS, FIPS, SELinux, PKI, or container platforms (preferred).
