What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Lead communities of practice to promote the awareness and use of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.
Architect, deploy, and operate cloud-native services using AWS infrastructure.
Apply deep technical expertise to troubleshoot complex problems and design creative software solutions.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting validation standards.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, J2EE, or Core Java (including Java 17).
In-depth knowledge of the Spring Framework for building RESTful Web Services, MVC, and Spring Boot.
Strong AWS experience architecting, deploying, and operating cloud-native services like IAM, VPC, ECS, EKS, SQS, S3, RDS, and Secrets Manager.
Experience with build and integration tools including JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub, and BitBucket.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, CI/CD, web security (OAUTH2/ADFS, Kerberos, XSS, HTTP injection), and automation.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems (preferred).
Practical cloud native experience (preferred).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform (preferred).
