As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Automation within the Commercial & Community Banking team, you will join an agile group focused on building and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will provide technical guidance to teams and vendors while developing high-quality production code for mobile automation. Your daily responsibilities include designing software solutions, managing defect resolutions, and conducting system testing for mobile browsers and native applications using platforms like SeeTest. You will drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed. Required skills include experience with Android SDK, iOS XCode, SWIFT, Calabash, Appium, and Genymotion, alongside expertise in accessibility testing and automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, and Java. You will solve complex problems regarding mobile application functionality and operational stability.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code from others.
Design and implement software solutions with a specific focus on mobile automation.
Maintain and improve the operational stability and performance of software applications and systems.
Plan and coordinate test activities, including the development of test cases and defect resolution.
Conduct system testing for mobile browsers and native applications using mobile cloud platforms.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through informed decision-making.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience in mobile native application and mobile test automation.
Proven use of one or more mobile development and emulator packages such as Android SDK, iOS XCode, SWIFT, Calabash, Appium, or GENYmotion.
Experience with Accessibility Testing for both web and mobile native applications.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage patterns.
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
Exposure to commercial mobile manual/automation test management packages, cloud native experience, or automation frameworks like Cucumber and Selenium (preferred).
