As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Corporate Technology Office, you will join a high-performance agile team focused on maintaining and enhancing an access control system critical to business operations. You will decompose complex technical problems into loosely coupled, cohesive solutions while ensuring software meets strict business and regulatory requirements. Your daily work involves managing distributed technology products in a diverse ecosystem of vendor products, open-source tools, and custom in-house solutions. Key responsibilities include driving the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, and test acceleration while establishing validation standards for security and performance. Required skills include Java development, distributed computing, prompt engineering, and experience with enterprise-authorized AI tools. Preferred technical expertise includes GoLang, Rust, domain-driven design, event-driven architectures, semantic models, knowledge graphs, and formal proofs to solve complex governance problems.
Decompose complex technical problems into loosely coupled and highly cohesive software solutions.
Develop high-quality code for mission-critical distributed systems in a secure and scalable environment.
Drive the adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish measurable validation standards for AI-generated outputs, including security, performance, and peer review.
Implement automation within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) toolchain to increase operational scale.
Manage and enhance access control systems integrated into core business operations.
Mentor other engineers on compliant usage patterns and secure handling of data in AI workflows.
What we're looking for
Strong software engineering fundamentals and programming skills.
Great verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in Java development and with distributed computing.
Experience with prompt engineering.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, testing, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security considerations.
Advanced knowledge of refactoring techniques, domain-driven design, and object-oriented design patterns (preferred).
Experience with distributed services, event-driven architectures, GoLang, Rust, semantic models, or formal proofs (preferred).
