What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by others.
Drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across multiple teams.
Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations processes.
Serve as a subject matter expert in specific technology areas to guide the engineering community.
Implement AI-assisted tools for code refactoring, test acceleration, and incident root-cause analysis.
Advocate for firmwide frameworks and SDLC toolchain automation capabilities.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in Java, Springboot, and Microservice Architecture.
Experience working in Python.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, security, and coaching others on compliant usage patterns.
Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
Practical cloud native experience (preferred); strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (preferred).
