As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - API Marketplace, you will join an agile team within Consumer and Community Banking to build and deliver market-leading technology products. The role requires building cloud-native applications on AWS, GCP, or private clouds using Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery. You will also leverage Git, Maven, Jenkins, and state management libraries like Zustand or Redux.

What you'll do

Provide technical guidance and direction to business partners, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
Serve as a subject matter expert to contribute to firmwide frameworks and SDLC best practices.
Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for others.
Drive key decisions regarding product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
Mentor and coach junior developers through active participation in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Rapidly iterate on design and implementation despite ambiguous requirements.
Influence stakeholders to adopt innovative, leading-edge technologies.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
Advanced skills in programming languages including Java 8+ for distributed applications, REST, microservices, and Spring Boot.
Experience developing cloud-native applications such as AWS, GCP, or private cloud.
Experience with modern SDLC practices including Test Driven Development, CI, CD, and Continuous Deployment.
Experience with design systems and version control systems like Git.
Experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
Familiarity with state management libraries, Maven, Jenkins, React Query, and performance optimization techniques (preferred).
