Senior Java Big Data Developer

What you'll do

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the Regulatory Reporting Hub.
• Implement reconciliation processes for regulatory and financial data.
• Design and contribute to architectural solutions for the application.
• Define the overall testing strategy and manage User Acceptance Testing with stakeholders.
• Provide post-implementation support to ensure application stability and resolve issues.
• Lead weekly review calls to manage project status and ensure timely task completion.
• Design, review, and suggest improvements to existing code and architecture.
• Guide and mentor junior team members within an agile delivery environment.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience in Java with expert-level skills in Core Java, Spring, Web Services, and J2EE.
• 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise-level Java development projects.
• Expert-level knowledge of Apache Spring, Spark, Kafka, and the Cloudera ecosystem including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and Impala.
• Expert-level knowledge of JSON, XSD, RESTful web services, design patterns, and databases.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, and JSON for web front-end development, including experience with AngularJS and CSS.
• Banking operations experience, including knowledge of trade processing flows and their regulatory impacts.
• Experience in Compliance or the financial sector is a plus; regulatory business knowledge is a plus.
