Senior Hardware Technician

What you'll do

• Perform component-level PCB rework including removing and replacing parts using soldering irons and hot air tools.
• Assemble, configure, and rebuild servers by installing components like CPUs, DIMMs, and networking cards.
• Update firmware versions and settings while performing initial system boot and health checks.
• Execute documented functional tests on systems to identify hardware faults and capture diagnostic logs.
• Maintain lab infrastructure including racks, PDUs, network switches, and environmental chamber readiness.
• Manage inventory, track assets, and coordinate the calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Document all rework actions and test results to support engineering investigations and process improvements.

What we're looking for

• Must have 5+ years of experience supporting electronics laboratories, hardware validation environments, or data center hardware.
• Must have practical experience with soldering and PCB rework using common tools.
• Must have experience assembling, configuring, troubleshooting, and validating server or high-performance computer hardware.
• Must be able to follow procedures for firmware updates, operating system installation, and hardware validation.
• Must have experience performing functional testing, fault isolation, and documenting results in a clear manner.
• Must have experience configuring and supporting laboratory infrastructure including racks, cabling, and network connectivity.
• Must possess organizational skills to manage lab readiness, inventory, and equipment calibration.
• Associate degree, advanced trade training, or military electronics training (preferred).
