What you'll do

  • Perform circuit-level safety analysis including DFMEA, FIT, FMEDA, and FTA for ECU sub-components.
  • Develop internal safety analysis procedures and strategies to balance system safety with feature performance.
  • Coordinate deliverables from third-party providers to meet project technical requirements and timing goals.
  • Drive necessary hardware design modifications based on findings from performed safety analyses.
  • Create and revise technical safety requirements for Component Technical Requirements Specifications (CTRS).
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior engineers and global teams.
  • Participate in and lead safety review forums, including Change Control Boards and Global Subsystem Leadership Teams.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Physics, Computer Science, or another related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in product development with safety critical systems, ECUs, or electronic circuit safety analysis.
  • Experience in electronic circuit and/or software design, analysis, development, and validation.
  • Deep knowledge of safety critical embedded controls for automotive subsystems or other complex safety systems.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor physics, structures, fundamentals, models, and failure mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills to lead complex technical projects and mentor global teams.
  • In-depth familiarity with ISO 26262 or other functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, IEC 62304, or DO-178C.
