Candidates must possess deep knowledge of semiconductor physics and experience using structured requirement management tools like DOORS, DOORS Next-Gen, Jama, or Polarion to manage complex automotive embedded control systems and functional safety requirements.

What you'll do

  • Develop and manage hardware requirements and low-level software definitions for ECU Hardware Component Technical Requirements Specifications (CTRS).
  • Update existing and create new ECU hardware electrical and functional interface definitions including vehicle device interactions.
  • Support semiconductor and microprocessor functional safety activities to meet specific safety manual use-case implementations.
  • Standardize I/O interfaces in hardware requirements and drive the commonization of components across various vehicle platforms.
  • Identify and create embedded controller requirement definitions from diverse internal stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Lead weekly requirement review and change control meetings to approve technical work and updates.
  • Perform CTRS compilation and build activities to support product team sourcing and design change documentation.
  • Establish and maintain traceability between internal/external requirements and their corresponding verification activities.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another related engineering field.
  • DFSS Black Belt Certification.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in product development, specifications, or related activities.
  • Deep knowledge and practical use of structured requirement management tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next-Gen, Jama, or Polarion.
  • High level of competency in writing and comprehending ECU hardware technical requirements with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, memory technologies, vehicle serial data communications (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, SENT, SERDES), mechatronics, and electrical architectures.
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor physics, structures, fundamentals, models, and failure mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management of complex technical projects.
