Senior Engineering Manager, Platform Engineering - iCloud

What you'll do

• Lead multiple engineering teams building large-scale distributed systems supporting global infrastructure.
• Set technical direction by guiding architectural decisions for complex system trade-offs.
• Build self-service platforms enabling internal teams to provision infrastructure efficiently.
• Scale operational rigor through best practices in observability, testing, deployment, and incident management.
• Recruit, grow, and retain talented engineers and managers within the organization.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience leading engineering teams in software development and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven track record of managing both individual contributors and managers effectively.
• Strong understanding of control plane architectures and service-oriented design principles.
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems with high reliability.
• Track record of successful incident management, on-call operations, and reliability practices.
• Ability to drive alignment and execution across multiple teams in complex environments.
• Deep technical expertise enabling meaningful engagement in architecture discussions.
