Software Engineering Manager

What you'll do

• Manage a team of Infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineers across multiple geographies.
• Oversee the operation and scaling of large-scale batch compute infrastructure in data centers.
• Champion AI-powered tooling to automate incident triage, improve capacity efficiency, and reduce operational toil.
• Establish and maintain 24/7 on-call rotations with defined escalation paths and response SLAs.
• Manage infrastructure modernization projects including Kubernetes operations, database migrations, and configuration management.
• Oversee release engineering through CI/CD pipelines, canary deployments, and zero-downtime rollout strategies.
• Drive incident management excellence through post-incident reviews and production readiness assessments.
• Execute multi-datacenter capacity planning and infrastructure automation to ensure platform availability.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering teams operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record of building and leading on-call organizations with structured incident management and escalation procedures.
• Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, compute orchestration, and bare metal provisioning at scale.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenStack, KVM/hypervisor technologies, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Chef, Ansible, Terraform, or Salt.
• Deep understanding of SRE principles including SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and release engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence across teams and levels.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent.
• Experience with AI/ML for operational efficiency, batch compute platforms, Go or Python, and observability stacks (preferred).
