Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop embedded software for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Build and maintain automated tests to support new and existing product features.
• Develop software across various hardware environments, including custom System on Chip architectures and real-time operating systems.
• Manage the full software development life cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Utilize modern continuous integration tools and promote improvements in development practices globally.
• Participate in Agile planning for short-term sprints, medium-term programs, and long-term product roadmaps.
• Mentor less experienced personnel and encourage knowledge sharing within the development community.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with professional development in design and implementation.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming techniques using languages such as C++ or Python.
• Experience developing software and automated tests for embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and using tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols, specifically Common Industrial Protocol (CIP).
• Experience developing software to safety and security standards such as IEC 61508 or IEC 62443.
