Senior Embedded Engineer, MCU Firmware

What you'll do

• Design and maintain C firmware and drivers for automotive MCUs using FreeRTOS and AUTOSAR Classic.
• Develop drivers for communication protocols including CAN-FD, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, LIN, ADC, and PWM.
• Manage the bridge between vehicle CAN-FD buses and the compute SoC for buffering, filtering, and timestamping.
• Implement power sequencing, thermal monitoring, fan control, and gPTP/PPS time distribution.
• Own the bootloader and dual-bank update paths, including signing, versioning, and recovery of field units.
• Lead board bring-up and validation for custom hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and Lauterbach TRACE32.
• Integrate and regression-test supplier firmware drops while maintaining automated and reproducible builds.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience developing embedded software in C/C++ on an RTOS or bare metal.
• Hands-on firmware and driver experience with automotive-grade MCUs, including CAN/CAN-FD and Ethernet.
• Experience taking embedded systems from prototype and third-party integration to production in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or mission-critical domains.
• Experience with board bring-up and hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and Lauterbach TRACE32.
• Experience with AURIX TC3xx, Renesas RH850, or NXP S32 MCUs (preferred).
• Experience with HSM, secure boot, secure updates, and key management on automotive MCUs (preferred).
• Experience with ISO 26262 (ASIL B through D), MISRA C, and AUTOSAR Classic (preferred).
