Embedded Firmware and Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software and firmware for hardware products.
• Lead multiple project teams of internal and outsourced engineers through all stages of product development.
• Manage and expand relationships with external development partners for firmware design projects.
• Review designs and project activities to ensure compliance with system standards and quality guidelines.
• Coordinate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware components and firmware.
• Define and document communication protocols, system states, and feature requirements.
• Mentor less-experienced firmware engineers to help them achieve successful deliverables.
• Create technical documentation including design specifications, code comments, and user guides.

What we're looking for

• A four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of work experience in firmware development or a related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with Python and Linux operating systems.
• Expertise in embedded software, firmware development, and real-time operating systems.
• Proficiency in Git version control and Agile methodology.
• Strong skills in debugging, algorithms, and computer engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor junior engineers, and manage project resources.
