Preferred skills include knowledge of ARM, AVR, MSP430, or PIC cores, RTOS experience such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr, and Python for test automation. This position solves complex hardware-firmware integration problems to enable real-time 3D command and control capabilities.

What you'll do

  • Develop low-level firmware in C for microcontrollers across multiple product platforms.
  • Write and execute test procedures to verify firmware behavior against requirements.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries.
  • Support board bring-up and hardware-firmware integration with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain requirements traceability to ensure every requirement has a corresponding test.
  • Contribute to multiple projects from the prototype stage through production.

What we're looking for

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of firmware/embedded software development experience.
  • Solid C coding ability for embedded systems.
  • Experience with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, or CAN.
  • Familiarity with board bring-up, debugging tools, and coding best practices.
  • Exposure to writing or executing test procedures for embedded firmware.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Experience with microcontroller cores, RTOS, requirements management tools, automated test frameworks, or scripting languages (preferred).
