The Senior Director, AI Product Management - Data Center joins the Data Center Business Unit to lead the development of AI-driven data center solutions. This role involves defining product strategies and roadmaps for AI-centric platforms, including compute nodes, interconnect fabrics, power delivery, and cooling subsystems. You will collaborate with silicon architects and software teams to translate market needs into requirements for custom AI accelerators and rack-scale systems. Key responsibilities include performing market analysis on large language models and inference at scale while managing post-launch performance metrics like thermal headroom and network utilization. Required expertise includes deep knowledge of CPU/GPU architectures, PCIe, CXL, and UAL interconnects. Candidates should possess experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, as well as compilers and optimization toolchains.
Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for AI-centric data center platforms and rack-level systems.
Lead market analysis to identify AI workloads and emerging system-level trends like large language models and rack-scale orchestration.
Translate market and customer needs into detailed product requirements and rack-level integration specifications with engineering teams.
Engage with hyperscale cloud providers and enterprise customers to co-develop proofs of concept and drive early deployments.
Partner with marketing and sales leadership to craft value propositions, competitive positioning, and go-to-market collateral.
Mentor and grow a high-performing team of product managers to foster innovation and rigorous decision-making.
Track post-launch performance metrics including power efficiency and thermal headroom to iterate on features and pricing.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or a related field.
10+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Ph.D. in Computer Architecture, Data Center Systems, Machine Learning Systems or related field (preferred).
12+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years focused on data center or AI infrastructure (preferred).
Deep system-level knowledge of AI accelerators, CPU/GPU architectures, interconnect fabrics, memory hierarchies, and rack-level system design (preferred).
Direct experience with AI frameworks, compilers, and optimization toolchains (preferred).
Demonstrated success launching complex silicon-plus-software AI products and rack-scale solutions with cross-functional teams (preferred).
Proven ability to engage with C-level executives and engineering leads at hyperscale cloud providers or tier-1 enterprise customers (preferred).
