As the Senior Director, Business Development, Air Defense, you will join the Air Defense team to develop, test, deploy, and sustain a family of networked sensors and effectors designed to counter UAS threats. You will build and execute data-driven strategies to capture growth opportunities in new and existing markets while managing programs of record at scale. Your daily responsibilities include cultivating relationships with U.S. Army air and missile defense program office stakeholders, collaborating with engineering and operations leads to translate client challenges into technical solutions, and coordinating across various internal business lines to shape contracting and funding strategies. The role requires expertise in the Defense Acquisition Process, experience with integrated weapons systems, and proficiency in navigating complex programmatic and operational hurdles within the domain of air defense and joint military operations.

What you'll do

Execute a data-driven strategy to identify, capture, and close growth opportunities in new and existing markets.
Grow existing business and secure new contracts for large programs of record at scale.
Maintain relationships with U.S. Army air and missile defense program offices to resolve issues and provide strategic direction.
Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to translate client challenges into technical product solutions.
Coordinate with government relations and corporate development teams to execute contracting, funding, and partnership strategies.
Communicate the company's value proposition and technological advantages to customers, partners, and the public.
Deliver on financial performance commitments and strategic market growth initiatives.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 10 years of experience in operations, acquisition, program management, business development, or capture within the defense sector.
Must possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred candidates should possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Must have extensive experience working with Program Acquisition Executive Offices and Joint Programs of Record to field new warfighting capabilities.
Must demonstrate success leading the acquisition, management, development, and capture of defense programs of record.
Must have experience navigating the Defense Acquisition Process and managing the technical challenges of integrated weapons systems.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives.
Must be willing to travel up to 50% for the role.
