Senior Development Engineer I, CAP UI

What you'll do

• Design, code, test, and debug software applications for the CVS Application Platform (CAP).
• Build various services for the CAP UI using TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
• Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Implement and advocate for security best practices across all software development.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide technical support and service to customers.
• Manage the full software development life cycle including ideation, coding standards, and production deployments.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines and collaborative coding tools like GitHub or GitLab for deployment.
• Use observability and telemetry data to inform technical decision-making.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience with deep expertise in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or React.
• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle including ideation, coding, testing, and production deployments.
• 3+ years of experience with modern software development practices like CI/CD and collaborative coding tools like GitHub or GitLab.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (preferred).
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile development methodology (preferred).
• Strong understanding of observability and using telemetry to inform decision making (preferred).
• Ability to mentor and coach other engineers through pair programming (preferred).
